  1. Kia Ora Lesieli,

Happy New Year! It's hard to believe that it is already 2018, isn't it? I hope that you and your family had a nice time ushering in the new year last night. Our family went to Raglan for the night. There was a great little parade that went through the middle of town around 7:00 p.m. and then everyone danced the night away. This morning when we were leaving we could see that a number of people were heading to church. Although there are a number of pretty little churches in Raglan none of them are quite as spectacular as the cathedral that you have shared with us. I see that it is called 'Ely Cathedral.' Can you please tell us a bit more about it? I haven't heard of Ely Cathedral before. Is it in England? I believe that there is place called 'Ely' in Britain so perhaps this where the cathedral is located?

I also see in your post that it was built just a few years ago. Is it really only a couple of years old? That's amazing! In my experience of cathedrals, most were built hundreds of years ago. I wonder why this one was commissioned so recently...

Thanks for sharing your post with us today! I hope that you will continue to share your great posts with us over the coming weeks. The Summer Learning Journey programme is open every day until Friday 26 January 2018. There is still plenty of time to continue learning and blogging with us!

    All the best,
    Rachel :)
