Firstly, well done on pretty much completing the Summer Learning Journey. There are a couple of activities that you are yet to finish so you may want to go back and have a go at them. You have worked really hard. It is clear that you put in a lot of effort to each post. You should be really proud of the work that you have put in over these last few weeks.

I love the questions that you have come up with to ask Dame Suzie Moncreff. You have thought of some out of the box questions to ask like 'was it your dream to do this?'. I wonder if she started when she was younger? When I was your age I took part in Trash to Fashion. It is the kids version of WOW. I made a top out of Daffodil Day flowers and a skirt out of blinds. Do you think Trash to Fashion is something that you would want to do?

You have come up with a great list of fruit, veges and herbs to plant in your garden. Mandarins are my very favourite fruit. When I was a kid we used to have a mandarin tree. They were extra sweet. The last lot before they stopped growing for the season was always the most delicious. It was like eating lollies. Do you have any fruit trees at your house?

Great animal choices for your 'the power of 10' post. Out of all the animals on your list I think my favourite is the snow leopard. They are so beautiful. Did you have another 5 animals or plants that are endangered that you would help save?

Great work coming up with a new slogan for Forest and Bird. How did you go about coming up with the slogan. I would love to know how you made it up as it is one area my students always struggle with. What research did you use to help develop the idea?

I'm really glad that you have learnt so much doing the Summer Learning Journey. If you had to take a way one main point, one thing that has changed in your life since you did the journey, what would it be?

Have a great return to school and don't forget to go back and finish off those last few posts.

    Ngā mihi,
    Izzy
