Last Tuesday we took a trip to the famous Maritime Museum , we were all put in groups and had to find certain objects as well as having to take pictures with the items we found. With our helpers we went around the museum and looked a different kind of things that were in New Zealand back then. I had an awesome time and I learnt so much things. Room 11,13,12 and I Got to go on a boat ride under the Haber bridge. While the boat was riding on the sea we could feel the wind blowing on our faces and we could feel the little drops of water. We could see Interesting places around the sea and we could see things in the sea. After our boat ride we had to go back to school. It was so fun, and I wish I could go back and visit there one day. Writing test.

For writing we had to write a narrative using one of the options from different story starters. My story starter is Dead Lights. Here is My story, hope you enjoy.

Oi “Hurry up Mum, hurry up Dad” shouted Lucky “OK! Mumbled dad. When Lucky’s parents left the house Lucky called his friends which come into the house through the backdoor, David, Darius, Miracle, Tiria and Lesieli, are tiptoeing into the living room, Then Lucky’s dog comes out from his dog bed. All the friends are shivering with goosebumps all over their body “It's freezing out there! Shouted Tiria then the door slams shut BANG!!! “Ahhhh!!!” The boys rush up to their room and the girls rush to theirs. The boys start playing fortnite on Lucky’s PS4 to not think of fear and the girls start watching a movie. When the girls finish watching their movie They tip toe downstairs to make some dinner for the boys.

The girls go upstairs to take a rest while the pot it still boiling with the noodles inside, David goes downstairs to check on the girls but the
girls aren’t there so David zooms back to the boys room and kept playing fortnite. The girls finished taking their beauty sleep and they trundle down like a dying rhino. David goes downstairs one more time to check if the girls were there.

Suddenly the power goes out in the the kitchen David and the girls  scream so loud like a lion roaring and the girls hide while David is still trying to find a place to hide. The other boys rush downstairs including lucky's dog to see a body hanging from the ceiling fan, we all scream Lucky runs to the kitchen.  Everybody is hiding in the cupboards a black figure comes into the kitchen slowly but it didn’t know what was coming its way splash! Lucky poured the boiling hot water onto the black figure it made an ear pitching scream and it slowly melted away. After a few hours of crying and sobbing. We all carry David’s bloody body outside but again there's a black figure stalking us “RUN!!!” to be continued.

Play based learning.

Play based learning.

Play based learning was a really fun activity for me and my friends it was also a experience for me and my friends too. I really enjoyed play based learning, it was so much fun. In play based learning we could play with anything we could imagine but we could not be able to use playing cards or any devices. It was a really challenging activity for me and my friends because some of us wanted to use cards and some of us wanted to use our devices but at the same time we worked together to get us all entertained. In play based learning We could do some painting and build blocks and play with many other fun activities. The purpose of play based learning is that we could play with anything that will make us entertained  and learn from what we played with. Next week I would really like to do some crafting and make some slime if we would be able too and do other fun activities. To make play based learning a bit fun and better I wish we could play based learning outside and do other play based learning activities. Today play based learning was so much fun and I really enjoyed doing play based learning and I think my class mates enjoyed it too. I hope next week will be much better then this week and more fun.

Fill A Bucket Today

For Art we drew and write how to fill a bucket. What is a bucket filler. A bucket filler is when someone does something nice to you to fill your day with goodness and love. When you fill other peoples buckets then you fill your own too. How do you fill other peoples bucket? You say nice things to them, You greet them and you can make them smile. If you dip into other peoples bucket it want go into yours because you will make them fill bad and then you will fill bad too. How do you dip into peoples buckets? You dip into there buckets by saying mean words to hurt them you bully them and hurting them for no reason.  It helps us with our school values because it helps us to do nice things to others. Here are some pictures we drew about bucket filling. The pictures mean what good bucket filler looks like and bad bucket filler looks like. Are you are bucket filler today? Do you dip into other peoples bucket? Do you make them smile? Do you make them sad? Make people happy and smile don't make them sad or upset. Be a bucket filler Today tomorrow and forever.  Hope you enjoy.

I am me

Here is a story I wrote it is about me . I am me and I will always be me. Does it matter what other people think of me? No. Hope you enjoyed my story.

In all the world there is no one like me.
There are persons who have some part like me
But know one adds up exactly like me.
Therefor everything that comes out of me.
Is authentically mine because I alone choose it.
I own everything about me.
One moment I follow with passion.
One moment I fall away.
Both lead me along my path.
One day I might find my way
One day I may not.
Either way my journey is done.
Hopefully I am at the right place.
Hopefully my work is done.

I am who I am
Not who you think I am.
Not who you want me to be.
I am me and I will always be me.

House Captain

Here is my little speech for house captain. We had to write a a little speech for house captain leaders we had to convince others to vote for people who joined house captain leader for each colour.

Great leaders don’t set out to be a leader they set out to make a difference.

As you know my name is Sieli Ahokava and I am applying today to become a house captain for Taurere.
So I am going to share a little poem of why I should
‘become a house captain.

As I walk on the school ground today I can make this school laugh and play.
As I see kids struggle with their test I can help them to become the best.
As I see someone upset I can cheer them up
With a game of chess.
As I see students getting teased I can always give them a big squeeze.
As I walk to class and I see something that's not right I can change it to become bright.

As I stand before you to become taurere’s leader
I just want to say that i will make taurere’s people proud and always make them to be happy of who they are.

A vote for me is a vote for you.
so vote for Sieli to represent `you.
