The Big Friendly Giant.
The Big Friendly Giant has long toe nails and it's height is like the Auckland sky tower. He is good looking but he so Giant. Some people think he is scary. He has a pointy nose and has big elf ears. He became friends with this girl named Sophie. Sophie didn't like him because he was so huge but she got to know him a  bit more. The big friendly Giant isn't mean or hurtful. He is a very kind and good Giant.

Athletics Day

On Thursday,

Our school hosted an Athletic day on our school field. We were put into our house groups, Taurere(Green), Maungarei(Red), Kaiahiku(Yellow), and Te Waio Taiki(Blue). Once we were all ready to represent our house colors we went down to the field and sat in our age groups.

We departed to our stations and started the activities. There were Seven Stations. In all the Seven Stations there will be Top boy and Top girl. It was so Much fun. In the middle block we had races. It was competitive but fun at the same time. We cheered on our house groups while the were racing. It was so much fun. After Sprints it was lunch time. We had some Kai to eat then we had Tug Of War .It was fun. There was Students vs Students, Parents vs Teachers, Semi finals, and Finals. It was fun. I loved our Athletics day it was so fun. It will be an Unforgettable moment.

Food Tech. (Veggie Patties)

Last Wednesday at Tech we made Veggie Patties. It was so yum. I had so much fun working with my buddy making the patties. It was so hard but so much fun making it. We learnt different ways to cut vegetables and how to cook the patties. Once we finished making the veggie patties we got to make our own sandwich. It was so Delicious.

Food Tech

At Food Tech we made Fettuccine. Fettuccine is a type of pasta. It was so much fun making it. My friend and I worked together to make it. It was so delicious.

Here are the steps. 

Step 1-Boil Fettuccine with 2c of water until it is soft.

Step 2-Fry the mince with Onion until it is cooked.

Step 3-Scrape the succini using the peeler.

Step 4-Combined all ingredients together.

Step 5- Add cream and spices. 

It was so yummy so Why don't you try this ingredient out.

Cooking Class At Tech.

At cooking class we made English Breakfast. We learnt how to fry eggs, bake beans, and bacon. We also learnt how to cooking toast in the oven, it was so much fun. The steps are here.
1. Toast 2 breads in the oven. (Bake 200)
2. Fry the eggs. (left front)
3. Cook the bake beans on the stove. (right front).
4. Fry the bacon.
5. Serve on the plate.
6. Enjoy your meal.

WOOD WORK AT TECHNOLOGY.

At tech I am in the wood work class. We made a wood box. We learnt how to cut woods, how to saw a wood, how to sand paper one. It was so much fun working on my wood box. I would surely do it again. Thank you to Mr Thomas for teaching us all the skills.

Cooking Class At Tech.

In cooking class we were put in to eight groups. In our eight groups we made pasta salad. We learnt how to cut vegetables up, cook the pasta on the stove and how to serve the meals. It was so much fun. I learnt so much from the cooking class and I definitely loved working in my group. Here is a photo from my cooking class.

PB4L Positive Message.

This is a message for you to also remember who you are and to never give up on dreams and hopes you have. Keep going and do your best in life.

X Country.

On Tuesday 3 September my school held an event called X Country. We were put into our school house colors. Taurere (Green), Maungarei (Red), Kaiahiku (Yellow) Te Wai O Taiki (Blue). The juniors had to run 1 lap around the filed. The middles had to run 2 laps around the school block and the seniors had to run 3 laps around the school block. It was so fun encouraging our house color team it was also hard running 3 laps around the school block. I am proud of myself for trying my best and placing 2nd place. It was fun seeing people giving it there best. I will surely miss X Country.

Miss Kelly Farewell

In my my class rm 11 we had a student teacher named Miss Kelly. She was in our class for 5 weeks. It was so much fun with her in our class. She taught us how to add and subtract fractions, how to add WOW words in our writing and also how to make a cardboard space shuttle. I am so grateful for her being in my class because she taught us lots of things. It was so fun with her through the 5 weeks. I will definitely miss her. 

Netball Tournament.

On Monday the August 5th we had a netball tournament at St Johns Netball Center. There were over 10 schools there. We had two teams, a boys team and a girls team. The girls team had five games which we versed to Baraden, St Thomas, Stanhope,Stonefields, and Parnell. It was a very tough game but very fun. For the girls we won four games and lost one game but we managed to still be in the semi-finales. We won the semi-finales against Sliver Park and made it to the finales. We lost the finales to Baraden but we are still happy we came 2nd as a team. The boys played the same school as us and one four games but lost one. they made it to the finals and won. The boys cam 3rd and the girls came 2nd.
It was a very fun game for us. I would like to give a shout out to the girls team and the boys team for working together and placing 2nd and 3rd.
