It is lovely to read that you really like living in your hometown of Auckland. It sounds like you and your family enjoy going to the parks and to the local shopping malls. My partner, Andy, went to our local shopping mall this morning and said that it was so busy that he couldn't even find a place to park. Yikes! It is Boxing Day so I suppose that a number of people were probably out looking for bargains, hoping that their favourite toys and items were on sale.
Instead of shopping, I spent the day reading student's work for the SLJ. It was such a relaxing, lovely way to spend the day. I feel so lucky to be able to work on the Summer Learning Journey programme. This is my fourth year with the programme and it just gets better every year! I hope that you will be able to continue blogging with us this summer.
